Much work has been done to revamp a couple of tee boxes that have caused consternation over the years. The white tee box on #17 on Lewis and Clark has been totally reconstructed (see below). By comparison, the size of the new box is more than twice as large than its predecessor, and has a greater chance to hold up in the summer heat. Some serious curbing also had to be done in order to safegauard the tee surface from water run-off.
The gold/black tees on #5 Tavern Creek have also had recurring problems in the past. The lack of airflow and a too small tee surface often led to a breakdown in the turf in the summer months. This new box is quite larger with an improved airflow.
Kudos to the greens committee and Bill's staff - this work looks superb.
