Those that are participating have received word that we have moved the team drawing night back a day to Thursday (so that we could get a better handle on when the remnants of the TS may hit the Saint Louis region. As of Wed AM (at 8:30AM), it looks as though the storm has taken a more westerly route than expected by most forecasters, which could delay the "arrival" of the torrential rain. If in fact the storm will not hit until late Saturday PM, then of course we will run the event as planned. If, however, the rains and wind hit earlier in the weekend (say early SAT AM or sometime Friday), then we will look to move the tournament to an alternate date. We have sent out a survey to see what dates would draw the most participation as a contingency.
We did consider the idea of 27 holes on Friday, but with the fact that the sun sets around 7:30PM this time of year, it's just not doable with a 1PM shotgun start. We have already found that a number of participants have AM obligations that would preclude us from starting earlier in the day. Thanks for your patience, and we'll keep you up-to-date on this matter.
Latest Isaac Computer models: note how a good number of models now have the storm moving farther to the west:
