As the renovation project is entering its third week of operations, it is past time that we introduce the Project Superintendent on site. “This place is a true golfer’s dream – magnificent views,” says Lance Norwood, the person in charge of running operations on site for Professional Golf Services.
After graduating from Mississippi State in 1993 with a BA in Agronomy, Lance has accumulated quite an impressive resume within the field of golf course construction. It’s refreshing to hear someone with project superintendent experience at some of the most renowned venues including The TPC Four Seasons, Los Colinas, and Augusta National Golf Club, offer so much praise for a place all of us already know is special. “I’m excited to be part of the project. I’m not only impressed with the dramatic backdrops, the native areas and green complexes, but with the variety of shot values and the diversity of the championship courses - this place is world class.”
We are ecstatic to have the caliber of craftsmanship that Lance and his crew are instituting throughout the courses. Please feel free to stop and say hello to Lance if you see him out on the course.
